I love Japan, that much is clear, but will I return to this incredible country again in 2024? I am undecided at the moment, but if I do I will need to change some things for the next trip.
First and foremost I want to get out of Tokyo if I do return. I had plans for day trips on this recent journey to explore outside of Tokyo, but weather derailed those plans. I want to see other cities and return to great places like Hakone and Osaka, among others. Tokyo is amazing, but there is more to Japan than just this one city.
Second and this is the bigger part of it, is going with people that will enjoy a journey to Japan. Traveling solo is fine and I have done it twice now, but I feel it is more fun with others. You can share your thoughts, interact more, and just feel more comfortable being out when you have someone to talk with during your travels. I felt alone many times during this trip so company is going to be a must.
If I can find company, get my money situated for a longer trip that will include more stops outside of Tokyo, then YES, I will be back to Japan sooner rather then later. I wish I could make the trip happen faster, but such is life, right?
