Blog: Going old school

Everything is digital these days. Tickets, vouchers, emails, etc. everything is digital and that holds true for travel. However, I always have a paper back-up, no matter how frustrating it is to put together.

The digital age is amazing, isn’t it? Everything is right there at your fingertips right on your phone or through a computer. However, what happens when your battery dies and you can’t find a plug? What about is the WIFI is down and you can’t connect to a network?

Even worse, what happens if you are trying to connect to a network but are international? You either can’t connect or will have to pay a ton of money.

This is why I always have a paper back-up. I print out the vouchers, email confirmations, and anything else I can that includes all the information I can get my hands on. Having those paper back-ups has saved me before and I am making sure I am doing that again before heading to Tokyo.

It’s a pain to get to a printer (plus paying for it) but the effort is worth it. I recommend it if you plan for a trip like I do.
